Frequently Asked Questions
Oh crap! I entered the wrong shipping address! What do I do?
Contact us immediately at hello@latherandsoul.com! Include your order details: name, order number, and correct address. Once your order has shipped, we have no control over the package and is out of our hands (literally). In most cases, it will be returned back to us. We will have to send an additional invoice for shipping to get this out to you, at the correct address.
How soon will I get my order?
Orders are processed and shipped within 5-7 business days (excluding the day the order was placed, weekends, and federal holidays). A confirmation will be emailed with tracking information once it has shipped. Orders typically arrive within 2-7 business days once shipped. Please note that the shipping schedule may differ slightly around holidays and sales.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we only ship within the United States.
I'm local. Can I pick up my order instead of paying for shipping?
Of course! Local pickup is available at White Mountain Crystals in Plainville, MA, during their business hours. Please refer to our Shipping Policy page for all the directions and details on how to place a pickup order.
I have a coupon code. How do I apply this to my order?
Simply enter your codes in the Coupon Code field during checkout. Just a heads up, you can only apply one discount code per order.
I'm purchasing several gifts on the same order. Can I have them shipped directly to the recipients?
Yes of course. Currently, we can only accommodate one shipping address per order. If you require items to be shipped to multiple addresses, we recommend placing separate orders for each address.
Can I buy your products in person?
What is your return/exchange policy?
Due to the hygiene nature of products, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Refunds will not be issued because you're not fond of a scent or are allergic to an ingredient. Full ingredient listings are disclosed for every product for this very reason, so please ensure you have read through for any possible allergens prior to ordering.
My order arrived damaged! What should I do?
While we do our best to ensure your order is packaged with care, sometimes things can get a little bumpy during shipping, which is beyond our control. If a product arrives damaged, please email us within 3 days of delivery at hello@latherandsoul.com. Please include your full name, shipping address, email, order number, a photo of the product, and a photo of the outside of the package. All products that have arrived damaged will have a claim filed with the shipping carrier and will be replaced as long as the above criteria have been met.
I think my order was lost or stolen! It shows delivered, but it's not here.
On occasion, a package gets scanned and marked as delivered 1-2 days before by USPS. As annoying as this is, we recommend waiting a day or so for it to arrive. Be sure to check around your home, front and back doors, porches, by the garage, or with your neighbors. You can also reach out to your local postmaster. Lather and Soul Skincare is not responsible for lost or stolen packages, but available to help if needed! Please feel free to contact us at hello@latherandsoul.com with any issues and include your order details.
Do you have a loyalty or rewards program?
We sure do! It's our Skin + Suds Club. You can easily join by clicking on the "Rewards" box on the bottom right of our website. Check out all the details about our rewards program here.
Do you offer custom or personalized orders?
Making your design dreams come true is our specialty. From party favors, showers, curated gift boxes, hotel/guest, corporate gifts, ingredient accommodations, or anything else you're needing, we'd love to work together with you! Simply fill out our custom order request form. Lead time can vary 2-4 weeks depending on the product and season, so please plan accordingly.
Would you be able to do a custom blend for soap?
Yes of course! You would need to purchase a full loaf - which is roughly 10 bars. Price will depend on ingredients. A minimum lead time of 5 weeks (soap takes 4 weeks to cure). Please fill out our custom order request form to discuss your perfect soap.
Do you offer wholesale/private label/white label?
Looking to carry Lather and Soul in your shop or boutique? Wholesale is available. We'd love to connect! Currently, private and white label is not available. While we have provided custom products for boutiques, these products will be labeled and branded as Lather and Soul Skincare.
Will the pretty botanicals on soaps clog my drains or affect my septic tank?
Botanical tops are for decoration and most toppings are small and easily passed. If you have a concern, please take a moment to brush the toppings off into your trash prior to using, which is recommended.
What's the difference between your fragrance oils and flavor oils?
The difference between a flavor and fragrance oil is simply a flavor oil is lip safe. While they are a flavor oil, they do not produce a taste unless a sweetener is added, which we don't use. Many products are scented using organic essential oils or fragrance oils. Due to nature, some scents simply are not available in essential oils; for instance, many berry notes. However, all of our flavor oils and some of our fragrance oils are USDA-certified organic, as our supplier provides natural flavors and fragrances derived from plant, vegetable, and fruit extracts/materials. Any other fragrance oils used are phthalate-free. All flavors and fragrances are always used within the safe and recommended dermal usage rates following IFRA guidelines.
Will your soap/product cure my eczema, psoriasis, acne, etc?
No. Any products, including soap, that make any medical claims fall into the drug category, which now must adhere to FDA regulations. We will never make any false promises that our products will cure or heal any medical issues you're struggling with. We find this marketing tactic to be dishonest and misleading and violates cosmetic regulations.
Do you use chemicals or synthetics in your products? Are your products considered all-natural?
Yes, yes, and maybe? Confused? Hear us out. For starters, all matter is made of chemicals, including YOU, the water you drink, and the air you breathe. It's all just a bunch of atoms bonded together and nothing to fear. While some folks (and even brands) have demonized synthetics, there are valid arguments for using them from stability, ethics, and sustainability aspects. If you're looking for natural products, we sadly will have to burst your bubble, because natural is NOT formally regulated in the cosmetic industry in the United States. What is considered natural will vary from brand to brand, which makes it all the more confusing. Read more about this very nuanced topic here.
