Reminiscent of the olde tyme barber shops, "Close Shave" will deliver just that. This shaving soap is designed to create a rich, creamy lather to make shaving an enjoyable experience for your skin.

Carefully chosen essential oils provide the fresh, clean scent, while also handpicked for skin loving benefits. Designed for a rich, creamy lather, our shaving soap delivers a smooth and comfortable shave for all genders and body parts. The addition of bentonite clay provides excellent razor glide while minimizing irritation. Each perfectly round bar fits easily into a shaving cup or bowl, creating a luxurious lather for a truly indulgent shave.

All soaps are created using the cold process method of soap making, using nourishing organic oils and butters to pamper your skin, and always cured for a minimum of 4 weeks for the best, long lasting bar.

SpecificsĀ 

As bars are hand-cut, expect slight variations in weight, with each bar weighing approximately 4.3-4.5 ounces and 3" in width. A shaving brush is recommended to achieve the best results, sold here. Shaving cup not included.Ā 

Soap Care

Handcrafted soaps are naturally rich in glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant that attracts water to your skin. While that's wonderful for your body, it does require a little extra care of your soap.

Allow your soap to dry naturally by storing it on a drainingĀ soap dishĀ or rack. This allows air to circulate around it and prolongs its lifespan. If using a shaving cup or bowl, ensure you drain after each use. Keep your soap out of direct stream of water or submerged in water for too long. Unused soaps should be stored in a cool, dry place.

The RitualĀ 

For best results, it is recommended to use with a shaving brush. Use bowl or cup and bloom soap (if desired) by allowing it to rest in hot water for several minutes, then drain. Load soap by swirling a damp shaving brush in a circular motion over the surface of the soap to build lather. Keep your handcrafted soap lasting longer by allowing it to dry between uses.

All soaps are palm-free, as palm oilĀ production has led to environmental degradation,Ā deforestation, and habitat loss for wildlife. Organic oils and butters are always chosen for highest quality and Fair Trade whenever available.

All products are handcrafted in small batches, sourced locally when possible, and working with trusted, reputable suppliers. Nearly all raw ingredients are USDA-certified organic or Ecocert approved.

Processing + Shipping

Orders are processed + shipped within 5-7Ā business daysĀ (excluding weekends + holidays). An email confirmation with tracking information will be sent to you once it has shipped.

If you ordered during a sales event or during the holidays, know that our small team remains the same + works hard to prepare your order quickly, but that a higher volume of orders can exceptionally lengthen processing times.Ā We appreciate your understanding.

Local Pick Up

Local customers can choose to pick up their orders to save on shipping. Orders will be dropped off weekly for pick up at White Mountain Crystals in Plainville, MA. Please wait for an email confirmation that your order is ready to collect. Orders will typically be ready in 4-5 business days.Ā An order confirmation email/slip or photo ID is required at time of pick up.

Mindfulness

For any of our beeswax-based products [balms, salves, etc] offered, consistency may be altered by the weather: softer in warmer months + firmer in cooler months. During warmer seasons, keep product in a cool, dark area. During colder seasons, allow the warmth from your skin to soften the product.

Shipping to or throughout hot climates, particularly in summer months, may result in a liquified product.Ā Please keep this in mind when ordering + ensure your order is shipped to an address where it will be collected in a timely manner + not left out in the sun or hot weather. If your beeswax product melts + liquifies, this will in no way harm or alter the efficacy of your product. Should you experience this, simply toss in the refrigerator for a few hours to bring it back to its original consistency.

Returns

Due to the hygiene nature of products, returns + exchanges are not accepted. Refunds will not be allowed based on personal scent preferences or if allergic to an ingredient. We strive to provide detailed descriptions of scent notes + disclose ingredient listings to assist you in making informed purchasing decisions. FullĀ ingredient listings are available for every product for this very reason, so please readĀ through for any possible allergensĀ prior to ordering.
